History
The Department of Computer Engineering of the University of Turkish Aeronautical Association was opened in 2012 and the first student was recruited in the 2013-2014 academic year. In 2017-2018, it was decided by the Senate that 80 students with 40% scholarship and 24 students with 25% scholarship, 8 paid and 8 full scholarship students would be accepted. Double major and minor programs are offered for students with sufficient success. There is 1 programming and software development laboratory dedicated to Computer Engineering (CENG Lab.). This training laboratory consisting of 60 laptops and presentation systems is used for basic education. A CAD / CAM Laboratory was planned and installed to include 60 HP workstations for technical drawing courses. In addition, a high-performance computer with 64 processors and 256GB of memory is used for research purposes and goals. The current academic staff of the department consists of 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor and 6 Dr. Lecturers and 4 Research Assistants. As a need; new faculty members need to be recruited according to expanding/increasing student quotas. Two part-time faculty members have been recently assigned. Computer Engineering undergraduate program course distribution and contents are prepared by taking into account the MÜDEK program qualifications in accordance with the Computer Engineering and Computer Science curriculum recommendations shared by IEEE Computer Society and ACM. In line with the guidance of the Bologna Coordination Commission, TYYÇ compliance of the program has been taken into consideration and program competencies have been determined. Within the framework of the Bologna process, course learning outcomes and program qualifications are associated. In our department, studies are carried out in priority areas such as data management in computer science, parallel computing, calculation in embedded systems, software engineering, modeling and simulation, social networks, cloud computing, and projects are being developed. The researches are carried out both in theory and application and the results are presented in prestigious conferences and scientific journals both nationally and internationally.
Qualification Awarded
This program gives education at undergraduate levels (First Cycle).

Higher Grade Transition
Students who are succeeded from the undergraduate education continues to master’s, doctorate or integrated doctorate programme if they get enough points from ALES exam, succeeded from foreign language tests and pass the interview exams.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Among the business lines that the Department of Computer Engineering graduates select in accordance with their interests are Software professionals that design the software needed by companies; system engineers planning and establishing computer networks; data base managers designing and maintaining the databases in which all the databases of companies are held; R & D engineers working to reveal new products or for process improvement. Besides this, institutions working for military purposes such as Private defense industry organizations, public institutions, banks, universities, TUBITAK, various IT institutes, Aselsan, Havelsan and Roketsan, and the automotive industry associations and medical organizations engaged in electronic design are among the institutions and organizations that the students may be seeking to work with.

Assessment and Grading
The details are given in the "Associate and Bachelor s Degree Education and Examination Regulations" in the section of "Assessment, Notes, Success Assessment, Double Major and Minor Programs, Graduate and Diploma". Performance evaluation for the courses are based on the exam, quiz, homework and project activities and contribution of the method is determined by the instructor.
